About the event
Join us for an amazing hike through the enchanting Epping Forest.
Epping Forest is the largest public open space in the London area covering almost 6,000 acres. It stretches over 12 miles from Manor Park in East London to just north of Epping in Essex. Over two thirds of it has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Area of Conservation.
But more than that, it is an ancient forest with associations to Royal Kings and Queens who hunted there. Much earlier, it was home to Iron Age inhabitants and there are two locations where we know there was a camp. On this walk we will find one of them. It is the place of legends, haunting and murders, both old and new.
