About the event
Join us for an idyllic hike through picturesque Surrey countryside. We will meet at Gomshall train station (which offers free parking) and then make our way through woodlands with amazing views.
The hike might not be long in terms of length, but it is a fairly strenuous 6.2 mile walk through woodland, farmland, open countryside and grassland and has a couple of steep hills to climb
We'll see a plethora of flora and a few fauna. We'll also see some of the mighty oaks at Abinger Roughs which are over 300 years old.
Gomshall village is a pretty Surrey hamlet served by various pubs and tea rooms. Some amazing views as we walk across the ridge At White Down Lease and Hackhurst Downs
