Day 1: ARRIVE IN UGANDA

Arrive at the airport and transfer to the hotel in Kampala.

Overnight at Holiday Express Hotel

Day 2 TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK & NATURE WALK IN BIGODI WETLAND

In the morning right after breakfast, we`ll drive to Kibale National Park. The drive will take about 5 to 6 hours. After lunch, we go for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland. Overnight at Chimpanzee view guest House.

Kibale National Park contains one of the loveliest and most varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda. Forest cover, interspersed with patches of grassland and swamp, dominates the northern and central parts of the park on an elevated plateau. The park is home to a total of 70

mammal species, most famously 13 species of primate including the chimpanzee. The Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is a fascinating area, located in Magombe swamp, this area is recognized for an extensive array of biodiversity among which are several primates species

like the red colobus monkey, baboon, black & white colobus monkey, blue monkey grey-cheeked and the red-tailed monkey.

Day 3: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING IN KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

In the morning after breakfast, we`ll to the park headquarters for a briefing, after which we`ll start the guided nature walk and search for chimpanzees. The trekking time ranges between 2 and 4 hours. Then we`ll spend about an hour following them and taking pictures before

returning.

CHIMPANZEE HABITUATION EXPERIENCE (Optional)

During the experience you can also spend a full day with the chimpanzees, following them and learning more about them from the time they leave their nests to the time they make their nests for a night`s rest. however, this activity starts as early as 6 am.

Day 4 TRANSFER TO BWINDI

In the morning we`ll drive to Bwindi. The drive will take 6 to 7 hours, arriving in the afternoon. Overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas or Nshongi Gorilla camp or Gorilla Valley Lodge. The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a biodiverse, mountainous area in southwest Uganda. It`s home to many of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, who

feed on roots, leaves, and fruits from the park’s many tree and fern species. Restricted numbers of viewing permits help protect the endangered gorilla families. In the park, rough paths weave amid dense forests, which are home to many butterflies and birds.

Day 5 GORILLA TREKKING

After breakfast and with packed lunch we head to the park headquarters for a briefing before our walk along different trails trekking the gorillas. Following the spot that the gorillas were left the previous day, we will track down the gorillas to meet/find them and then spend some

time with them. We`ll watch, take photographs of these great giant primates as they feed, play and care for their young. After spending an hour or so with the gorillas we`ll transfer back to our lodge, ending one of the most exhilarating wildlife experiences on earth.

Day 6 QUEEN ELIZABETH PARK & KAZINGA CHANNEL BOAT RIDE

After breakfast, we drive to The Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The drive will take you through the Ishasha sector where we'll have a game drive and en route see animals such as the tree climbing lions. We`ll reach Mweya safari lodge in the afternoon to check and have lunch and later go for a boat ride on the Kazinga channel.

Overnight at the Bush Lodge.

Queen Elizabeth national park is Uganda’s most famous national park. The presence of varied bio-network to mention the beautiful lakes, extensive savanna, the natural forests, and fertile swamps hence making it ideal for wildlife, it also has ten primate species including chimps and 600 bird species.

Day 7 GAME DRIVE

Early morning, we go for a game drive which will provide excellent opportunities to see Uganda Kobs, Spotted Hyena, leopard, antelope, elephant and then drive back to the lodge for a late breakfast. Later drive to Kampala and flight back.

Confirmations must be received 2 months before the trip date to allow enough time to get Gorilla permits.
